This Father’s Day we aim to celebrate the dad(s) in your life with an unforgettable day of cycling or running (for the energetic dad!), a Caribbean feast and a rum tasting experience like you’ve never seen (or tasted!) before – all set in the rolling hills of Mid-Illovo, right here at iNsingizi.

Not compulsory, but definitely to add to the fun, the ride or run will take place along our 25km or 40km trails, through the wattle, gum, grasslands and sugar cane fields of iNsingizi. We also offer shorter distances for runners, kids and those looking to slow down the pace a bit and enjoy the sights and sounds of our beautiful nature reserve.

This is followed by a Caribbean feast…and a feast it really is, click here to view the full 3-course buffet menu. If that doesn’t entice you, we are also partnering with a local craft rum distillery to bring you a rum tasting experience you won’t forget!

Rum connoisseur Erik Voskamp has this say about rum “There is a rum for everyone, but they don’t know it……yet” and if you haven’t found a rum that you love (yet), boy have we found it for you! Made in the traditional Rhum Agricole distilling style, which uses sugar cane juice instead of molasses, this rum is one-of-kind. The tasting will consist of a cocktail made with craft white rum, combined with freshly pressed sugarcane, with the idea to demonstrate the ‘field to grass’ process by taking the raw ingredient and mixing with the distillate (the rum) that is produced from the raw product – how amazing does that sound?!

Booking is essential for this event, so we suggest booking soon so that you don’t miss out on this memorable and unique experience.
